Welcome to Dutch Touch Lawn Services, Inc., established in 2003. We are a family run business owned and operated by Neal Verhagen and his son Tim.
Neal has an associates degree in horticulture and a bachelors degree in business management. He has been in the landscape/greenhouse industry for over 30 years. Starting with his own landscape business while still in college to becoming the landscape operations manager of a well known firm in the south suburbs of Chicago until our move to Wisconsin in 1993. The next 10 years he was the operations manager of a local garden center and greenhouse. Neal is in charge of Sales and our greenhouses.
Tim has an associates degree in horticulture. He worked for the same local garden center and greenhouse as foreman of the landscape division. In the Spring of 2003 he went out on his own and started Dutch Touch Lawn Services, specializing in lawn maintenance. It wasn't long before Neal and Tim saw the need for a landscape division and Neal left his job to join Tim. Tim is head of our Landscape and lawn maintenance divisions.
Neal's oldest son Chris joined the business in 2006. In 2010, Chris took over the fertilizing end of the business and started our sister company, Dutch Touch Lawn Treatments, LLC. Chris deals exclusively with fertilizing, weed control, insect control, aeration, thatching and small yard debris pick up.
In 2010 we opened our greenhouse on our farm in Theresa. We now grow all our own flowers and baskets to be installed in your home or business. The greenhouse is open for retail sales too. Since we are a family owned business we treat each job we do as if we were taking care of our own yard. If one of us is not on the job site at all times, you can be sure it will be approved by us before it is considered complete.
